Steam Packet Welcome Back Graylaw Following Termination Of Mezeron Freight Service
The Steam Packet has been reacting to the news that Mezeron are to cease their freight service after February 19th.
Since Mezeron started their service from Liverpool they took a significant amount of business away from the Steam Packet, putting over 300 jobs and the future of the company in doubt.
However the undertaking proved too great for Mezeron and they’ve been forced to pull the plug on the operation.
The termination of the service means Graylaw will once again be using the Steam Packet exclusively, with their company’s Tesco and Shoprite bringing back some much-needed revenue.
Liaison Officer for the Union Nautilus Chris Bowen has said that whilst operating, Mezeron were not benefiting anybody on Island.
