Doctors’ surgeries will remain open tomorrow – despite there being a lack of GPs.
It’s because doctors are attending a mass meeting to discuss current medical concerns.
Emergency medical cover will also be provided while surgeries deal with simple queries like booking appointments and issuing repeat prescriptions.
Hospital consultants will also be at the meeting including those from the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service.
Dr Alex Allinson says one of the issues being discussed is how to care for young people with psychological problems:
