Mark Christian has been promoted to interim Chief Fire Officer for at least 6 months following Kevin Groom's retirement.
After joining the Fire and Rescue Service in 1994, he became a full-time firefighter in 1997.
Since then, he's been Station Commander, Technical Fire Safety Officer, Deputy Head of Fire Safety and Head of Operational Support.
Mark says they have a fantastic team who work tirelessly on a daily basis to keep the community on the Island safe.
