Just when you thought that all was lost for Manxman Mark Cavendish in the Tour De France he’s won today’s stage in typically impressive style.

It’s definitely the kick start his campaign needed after the opening races were dogged by dissapointment for him.

It took a bit of tussling in the build up to the finish but as soon as he got his chance he turned on the speed and reminded the world why he’s considered the fastest cyclist in the World.

Ultimately Cav is chasing the Green Jersey, he certainly has a mountain to climb now if he’s going to make that happen.
