Manx Utilities says it's well hedged with forward purchases of fuel to protect against price rises from the war in the Middle East.
In Tynwald this week, MU chair John Wannenburgh was asked by Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse about what buying had been done in advance.
Mr Moorhouse wanted to know about purchases made before the US and Israel launched their strikes on Iran.
In response, Mr Wannenburgh said the utility company's financial position is good:
