The Island’s telecoms regulator says it’s investigating whether Manx Telecom is playing fair on broadband.
The Communications and Utilities Regulatory Authority says it’s looking into allegations MT charges more for telephone lines to people who have a different broadband supplier.
CURA says it’s also been alleged the company asks other providers’ users to install equipment its own customers don't need, and it’s said to have told customers they can’t switch their broadband to another company and keep its telephone services.
The regulator has asked MT for more information and says it’ll publish details of the investigation and its findings in due course.
