An Island internet company has applied for permission to build telegraph poles to provide fibre broadband to homes in Tromode.
Manx Telecom wants planning permission to put the poles up in Eary Veg and Slieu Dhoo.
In its application, it says it'll be switching off the copper phone network by 2029 but there's no existing overheard or underground fibre lines to use.
It's made two applications to put up a total of eight poles, each nine metres high.
