Manx Nationalist Graffiti Artist Appears in Court Today
The man accused of spraying politically charged messages across the Island, 22 year old Mark O’Meara is due to appear back in court again today.
It’s a case which has split public opinion, with the graffiti artists pro Isle of Man message striking a chord with some.
Numerous countries and the corresponding dates that they received their independence from the UK were spraypainted across the Isle of Man in early January with Mannin...? Appearing in St Johns.
Ultimately it is criminal damage and this is what O’Meara stands charged with.
On his last appearance in court he entered no plea.
Cases of Manx Nationalism have seen a distinct increase over the past 18 months as relations have appeared increasingly frayed between the Island and UK Governments.
