The Isle of Man’s own Zoe Gillings is gearing up to give her all at the Winter Olympics in Vancouver when she takes to the snow today.
Since arriving at the Olympic Village in Vancouver early last week things have been far from easy for the Manx snowboarder, currently ranked 5th in the world.
To begin with Snowsport GB, her teams Governing body went into administration causing financial issues for Zoe, for the time being this problem has been alleviated by UK Sport and the BOA stepping in to stump up any funds necessary.
Zoe goes into the event as Great Britain’s number one, and their best chance at claiming a podium finish.
Zoe's snowboarding campaign starts today. She could be coming home with an Olympic medal.
