Manx Care says it can't reveal how much it thinks a remote GP system might cost - because it's still out to tender.
A Freedom of Information request asked for more details about the project, which launched in Ramsey last month and sees patients consulted over the phone.
But in its response, the organisation said revealing the contract's value would tip off those who are taking part in the tender process.
It refused to answer the request, saying commercial considerations outweighed public interest.
