A Merseyside man charged with manslaughter is due appear in court again next month.
John Meadows, of Verney Crescent in Allerton, appeared before Deputy High Bailiff Rachael Braidwood at Douglas Courthouse by live link from prison.
The 53-year-old hasn't yet entered a plea to the manslaughter of 57-year-old Jillian Hughes, a visitor from Merseyside, outside the Palace Hotel on Douglas Promenade on March 29.
There was no bail application and Mr Meadows was remanded in custody until he appears again on June 25.
