A sister ship to the Manannan has been sunk by rebel fighters in Yemen.
The HSV-2 Swift was built by Australian firm Incat five years after the Steam Packet's fastcraft, and has the same design catamaran hull.
She remained in military service when Manannan was turned into a ferry, and was serving with the United Arab Emirates when she was hit by a rocket on Saturday morning.
She was carrying aid for Arab coalition forces fighting in Yemen, and there have been no reports of casualties.
