The Manannan will be running with an increased crossing time for the remainder of the year due to an engine fault.
The Steam Packet says initial investigations of the issue suggests the damaged engine will require a full rebuild.
The vessel’s crossings to and from Liverpool will now take 3.5 hours.
The company adds that the Manannan will now leave Douglas earlier in the day to reduce further delays in the evening.
