A man who assaulted his partner three times in three months will spend a year on probation.
William Hedley Graham of Tynwald Street in Douglas appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes via a live video link from prison.
The 50 year old admitted carrying out the three assaults between September and December last year.
The court heard he'd shouted verbal abuse at his partner of ten years, and on one occasion poured a drink over her head.
Defence advocate Peter Taylor told the court Graham had a drink problem but was willing to work with probation to overcome that and his anger issues.
Mrs Hughes said the incidents had been unpleasant, and noted Graham had spent four weeks in prison on remand.
She imposed a 12-month probation order.
