Man suffers 'significant' head and facial injuries

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man received 'significant' facial and head injuries.

The alleged assault took place in the area of Empress Drive in Douglas at around 11.40pm on Saturday.

Officers say he's currently being treated at Noble's Hospital and is in a 'comfortable' condition.

Two people were arrested at the scene and are assisting with enquiries - anyone who saw what happened is asked to contact Police Headquarters.
