A man who admitted possessing hundreds of pounds worth of heroin has been given a conditional discharge by magistrates.
John Alan Johnson of Empire Terrace in Douglas appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse for sentencing.
He’d previously admitted possessing 0.8 grammes of cannabis and between £450 and £900 of heroin at his home when police raided it in July.
But after hearing the 41 year old had spent almost four months in custody on remand magistrates imposed a 12-month conditional discharge.
They also ordered the drugs be destroyed.
