Police say two hawks have new homes after they were seized from a man who's been convicted of animal cruelty.
Richard William Miller, of Alder Road denied illegally possessing the two birds of prey as well as two charges of cruelty to dogs.
On Friday he was ordered to pay costs, compensation and fines totalling £4,500 and banned from keeping animals for 10 years.
PC Mark Kerruish says the dogs were underweight and found in a toilet with no food or water readily available - they're currently waiting to be rehomed at the Manx SPCA.
Police say they'll deal robustly with anyone who mistreats animals.
