A man’s been fined after a drunken incident outside a busy Douglas pub.
Matthew Ian Gaynor of Sumark Walk in Douglas appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
He pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly outside the Front Porch on Duke Street in Douglas on May 1.
Prosecutor Barry Swain told the hearing Gaynor had been drinking inside when a member of door staff became suspicious and asked to search him.
When nothing was found, Gaynor taunted the doorman, who asked him to leave – once outside he shouted threats and abuse and was arrested by police.
Mrs Hughes told him staff were entitled to ask anybody to leave licensed premises for no reason at any time.
She fined Gaynor £400 and ordered him to pay costs of £125.
