85 year old Geoffrey Hughes was flown to the UK for treatment after the incident on Albany Road in Peel last Friday.
Police have now confirmed he's died from his injuries.
Inspector Michael Taylor from the Roads Policing Unit says investigations are continuing and appealed for witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage who was in the area at the time to contact police on 631212.
His local pub, the Whitehouse, paid tribute to him in a post on Facebook earlier today.
