A Douglas man has denied being controlling or coercive amid claims he assaulted a former partner and insisted on walking her to work.
Craig Vaughan - formerly Varey - of Peveril Street appeared before Deputy High Bailiff Rachael Braidwood at Douglas Courthouse.
The 49-year-old denies a controlling or coercive behaviour offence between July last year and March this year.
The court heard Mr Vaughan is alleged to have been violent as well as telling his victim to delete her social media.
Mrs Braidwood said the case would be heard in the Court of General Gaol Delivery and bailed him in the sum of £500 until he appears again on June 18.
