A man who bit his own mother on the head has appeared in court.
Morgan William Askew who is 25 and of Gorsecroft in Douglas appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
He admitted being drunk and disorderly and obstructing police on November 8 and assaulting a police officer and his mother on November 9.
When he was arrested, police asked him if he had any weapons - Askew told them he was a kickboxer and his fists were weapons.
The case was adjourned until December 19 and he was remanded in custody.
