A man who admits assaulting a woman, two counts of provoking behaviour and criminal damage will appear in court again next month.
22 year old Michael Gregory Ashton of David Gray House admits the charges but doesn't accept the prosecution's version of events.
A review of the case will take place on December 5 before a Newton hearing decides the facts.
Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes bailed Ashton in the sum of £500 to appear on that date.
