A man who cut his ankle tag off after being released early from prison is back behind bars.
Christopher James Christian of Lord Street in Douglas appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The 35 year old pleaded guilty to breaching his licence and criminal damage at a previous hearing.
Prosecutor Rachel Braidwood told the court Christian was released from jail on July 14 but cut the electronic tag from his leg on August 2 to spend the night with his girlfriend.
Magistrates said he'd shown he couldn't be trusted, and suspended his early release licence for one month.
He was also handed a 14-day prison sentence for damaging his tracking device, to be served concurrently.
