A rare night out 'unravelled' for one man - ending up with a night in the cells.
Patrick Martin of James Road in Castletown appeared before Deputy High Bailiff Rachael Braidwood at Douglas Courthouse.
The 39-year-old admitted being drunk and disorderly after an incident on Farrant's Way in Castletown on April 13.
Prosecutor Barry Swain told the court officers heard raised voices outside the police station - when they went out they spotted Martin trying to punch a man but missing and hitting a woman.
Martin was fined £270 and ordered to pay £125 costs.
