A man accused of stabbing a friend he claimed had put a curse on him has been bailed.
Frankie James Thompson of Long Lane in Pleasington in Lancashire appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
He hasn’t yet entered a plea to a single count of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm on October 14 last year.
Prosecutor Barry Swain said Mr Thompson began talking about evil spirits and ghosts while he and his friend were in a flat on Church Marina Road in Douglas.
He’s alleged to have picked up two knives from the kitchen and thrown one into a wall before calming down.
However, at 5.30am he’s then said to have stabbed his friend in the thigh, leaving a wound more than an inch long.
Mrs Hughes granted bail in the sum of £1,000 with a condition Mr Thompson doesn’t contact his alleged victim, and he’ll next appear in court on April 25.
