Island Hopefull of Increase in Holidaymakers this Summer
With the Schools soon to be breaking up for the Summer Holidays the Island is waiting expectantly to see how this years Summer tourism season goes.
Major work has been ongoing to boost the Island’s profile on the World scale and make it an attractive prospect to holidaymakers.
An online holiday booking site has said figures for interest in the Isle of Man have rocketed up 168% on last years numbers.
It's thought things like the major TV advertising campaign and a general increase in the Island's TV presence can be attributed to the boom in popularity.
Tourism Director Rod Nipper said that early indications indicate that it should be a good Summer for the Isle of Man.
