 
                                    It’s been New York’s longest night and a long night for the Manx contingent stuck there while Hurricane Sandy strikes.
She hit last night causing extensive damage, flooding and power outages.
Yesterday we heard from a number of people from the Island who are there on holiday - including Sam Warren, who's with her 12 year old daughter and her mother, and 24 year old Ben Bateson from Douglas.
The flight he was due to be coming home on yesteday was cancelled due to the weather.
