A Douglas lifeboat was called out to rescue a small fishing boat.
RNLI volunteers were paged at 2.45pm yesterday to help a lone fisherman - its propeller had become entangled in marine debris, rendering the boat immobile.
The crews towed the vessel back into Douglas harbour before returning to the station.
