A local disabled woman will aim to swim 50 lengths today - all in the name of charity.
Jane Barton - who was born with spina bifida has had both of her legs amputated, and been in a wheelchair since she was ten years old.
Jane is taking on the challenge 'Sink or Swim' at the NSC Swimming Pool - all in the aid of 'Children in Need'.
Jane told 3FM she has been swimming regularly at the pool - and the staff have been amazing, encouraging - going 'above and beyond' to build her confidence, even to just get in the pool.
She wants to show people 'there is no such word as 'can't' - especially with her disability.'
