A local campaigner wants to see Dogs allowed on Peel beach in April and May.
Currently, dog-owners can't take their pets on the town's beach between April 1, right through until the end of September - which has been the case for the last 12 years.
Nikki Sperring says she's 'concerned about how empty the beach is in these months, especially as children are still in school and parents, generally - at work.'
She thinks the current situation is not only affecting dog owners, but, ultimately - the town;
Nikki went to Peel Commissioners in Feb 2020 to ask if Dogs could be allowed on a section of the beach, but was turned down.
Earlier this week a public meeting was held to discuss letting pooches back on the shore.
Mrs Sperring said feedback from the meeting was mixed:
A public consultation will now run for the next 6 weeks - if you'd like to have your say you can email ptc@ptc.org.im or speak directly to Peel Commissioners.
