A local MHK says proposals for a living wage is a great opportunity for businesses and government.
Minister for Policy and Reform Chris Thomas a proposed living wage of £8.61 an hour is a great opportunity for the Island.
He says he hopes employers will take up the challenge and reap the benefits the living wage will give.
Mr Thomas claims the benefits will outweigh extra costs, including staff loyalty and extra motivation.
