A man from Liverpool will be sentenced next week after admitting smuggling more than £9,000 of heroin to the Island.
Ian Kevin Connolly of Normandale Road in Walton admitted producing the class A drug and possessing it with intent to supply when he appeared before Douglas magistrates.
The 40 year old was arrested getting off the ferry from Birkenhead on November 29 - he'd hidden almost 93 grammes of the drug internally.
There was no application for bail and Connolly was remanded in custody until he appears at the Court of General Gaol Delivery on December 18.
