Peel lifeboat went to its first emergency callout of the year, when it helped a motorboat with engine troubles at the weekend.
The Frank and Brenda Winter went to the aid of the vessel, which was around 100 yards off Contrary Head south of Peel Castle, on Sunday.
Crew helped tow the eight-metre boat, which had one person aboard, to Peel breakwater.
RNLI volunteers say people should be prepared and check the weather before going out on the water.
