Douglas Lifeboat was called out twice yesterday - to go to the assistance of the same fishing boat.
The Sir William Hillary was launched at around 10am when the 9-metre boat with two crew aboard suffered engine failure 12 miles south east of Douglas.
After its crew made repairs, the same boat broke down again in the same place as it was making for Holyhead yesterday evening.
The Douglas crew brought her back to the capital under tow.
