The Department of Infrastructure's revealed well under half of those taking driving tests in cars pass - compared to two thirds of bikers.
In a freedom of information request, 3FM asked for the numbers of car, bike and HGV tests sat each year as well as how many people passed.
Each year, around 40 per cent of drivers pass, compared to 60 per cent of motorcyclists and 62 per cent of HGV drivers.
The figures run from 2011 to 2017.
