A learner driver from Douglas has been fined after losing control of her car whilst driving unsupervised.
20 year old Charlotte Megan Gatt, of Victoria Crescent, crashed on the Mountain Road on April 3.
Her Audi hit a wall and lamppost - causing almost £6,000 worth of damage - and lost a wheel in the process.
At Douglas Courthouse this week Gatt pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention.
She also admitted not driving in accordance with her provisional licence and having no insurance.
Gatt's advocate told the court she'd made "a very poor decision" to move the car a short distance to her address but had braked too harshly on the bend near to Hailwood Avenue.
He said the car - which was bought on hire purchase - has now been written off adding: "That will be another reminder to her to drive more carefully in the future."
Magistrates described her decision to drive as "foolish" and fined her £750 - they also ordered her to pay £50 in prosecution costs and handed her eight penalty points.
