Intrepid Fund Raisers Kayak From Bride to Scotland
A team of intrepid fundraisers are setting off on a
challenge of endurance and fitness this morning raising money for the Manx
Foundation for the physically disabled and Vagabonds Rugby Team.
Up until the training stage two of the team had never kayaked before, since deciding to do it however they've spent 8 hours a week practicing and learning how to cope with various potential tricky situations.
All being well they'll depart at 9am, the distance is roughly the same as a marathon, around 26 miles.
Mark Purcell said with the large level of training and the good weather forecast he is confident they'll complete it in a good time.
