Jury To Retire to Consider Verdict in Baines Trial
The jury is expected to retire to consider their verdicts today in the trial of local tycoon Trevor Baines and his wife Wendy.
Before that happens though Judge Acting Deemster Birkett will resume summing up the case.
Mr Baines is accused of laundering $175 million dollars around local banks for a business associate who had acquired the majority of the funds criminally.
Mr Baines denies any
knowledge of how he got the money, his wife Wendy is charged with false
accounting.
