Treasury Minister Alex Allinson says there's no way of ensuring job ads in the Island's Jobcentre aren't doubling up.
He faced a question for written reply from Rushen MHK Juan Watterson about how the facility in Douglas makes sure vacancies aren't duplicated.
Dr Allinson said if employers and agencies both advertise the same job then it can be difficult for staff to spot.
At the end of October, the Jobcentre reported it had 439 advertised vacancies.
