A man sent to prison after throwing a brick through a police station window breached a domestic abuse order by calling a woman from jail.
Shaun David Bignall of Mooragh Promenade in Ramsey appeared before High Bailiff Rachael Braidwood at Douglas Courthouse.
The 34 year old pleaded guilty to criminal damage on August 1 and breaching the terms of a domestic abuse protection order between August 11 and 18.
Prosecutor Hazel Carroon told the hearing Bignall smashed the window at Ramsey police station, telling officers he wanted to go to jail.
When he got his wish, he made repeated phone calls to a woman he was banned from contacting.
Mrs Braidwood put Bignall on probation for two years, and ordered him to pay £250 costs and £257 compensation.
