An Island charity says it'll miss a generous friend after Shoprite was bought out by Tesco.
Isle of Play, which promotes opportunities for children, took to Facebook after the supermarket chain wrote to it about the takeover.
Shoprite supplied vouchers to the charity to help meet its running costs but the company wrote to the organization to explain the vouchers would only be valid until the end of this year.
In its post, Isle of Play said "I can't help but feel we're going to lose more than a supermarket, we're going to lose a friend".
