In a statement, organisers say it's with 'great regret' the event - scheduled to take place between Thursday, September 13 and Saturday, September 15 will no longer go ahead.
They say despite enormous efforts, there have been delays in securing the necessary Road Closure Order from the Department of Infrastructure.
They add they'd like to thank everyone who has supported this year's event, and apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Finally, organisers say they're determined to bounce back from the setback - and the date for next year's rally has been confirmed as the 12th - 14th September 2019.
