Thomas Cook looks set to remain on Strand Street despite the company announcing drastic cuts.
A spokesperson for the travel company has confirmed the Douglas branch is not at risk of closure.
195 stores across the UK are likely to be closed with two and a half thousand jobs being cut in an effort to save the business.
The spokesperson says stores will be closed in areas where there is more than one outlet and confirmed it is business as usual for the Island’s travel agent.
