Island urged to get behind Cavendish and Kennaugh in Olympics

The Isle of Man will reach fever pitch next week as the build up begins for the Olympic road race which has Mark Cavendish as odds on favourite to clinch the gold.

Both Mark and Peter Kennaugh will both be representing Great Britain on Saturday, with Cav seen as Team GB's first hope of a gold medal.

Someone who has seen their careers progress from the very early stages is Dot Tilbury, the organiser of the Children's Cycling League.

She said even from a young age she knew both would go onto achieve big things.

Dot says she has no doubt that the Manx public will make an event of the televised event and offer their usual high levels of support.
