A consultation about whether the Bishop should be able to vote in parliament has found the Island's split almost evenly.
Ramsey MHK Lawrie Hooper asked for views as he introduced a new Constitution Bill that would see the Bishop remain in Tynwald but unable to vote.
In total 2,934 people responded, with 51 per cent agreeing with the bill and 49 per cent against it.
Of those who responded, 52 per cent thought prayers shouldn't be part of parliamentary proceedings, with 48 per cent wanting to keep them.
