Crash Card to Contain Valuable Information That Could Save Lives
A new scheme geared toward helping both bikers and ambulance workers during TT has been introduced in time for the biking fortnight.
The Crash Card Scheme was recently introduced in the UK to great success; it entails the bikers carrying their personal details inside their crash helmets, so in the unlikely event of an accident the medics are able to determine if they’re on medication or have any allergies.
In the past gleaning this vital information has proved difficult due to the language barrier with the foreign visitors.
Health Minister David Anderson said the Ambulance service will be on hand throughout the TT distributing the cards to the bikers.
