The government says there are no asylum seekers on the Island - because people can't claim asylum here.
The Cabinet Office faced the latest in a string of Freedom of Information requests on the subject, asking how many asylum seekers are here, on benefits with houses, and how many have been deported.
But in its response, the government says anyone seeking asylum has to do so in the UK, and live there while the claim is processed.
It says as a result, it doesn't have the information asked for.
