The Island's church has issued an apology to the victims who gave evidence to convict a former Douglas vicar of historical sex offences.
82 year old Graham Gregory was jailed for a total of four years and four months after being found guilty of three counts of indecent assault at the Court of General Gaol Delivery.
The Diocese of Sodor and Mann issued a statement saying there are no excuses; abuse is a terrible crime and a grievous breach of trust, which has lifelong effects.
It also says it apologises wholeheartedly to the survivors of Gregory's abuse, and wants to pay tribute to their bravery in coming forward.
