The Isle of Man can't introduce EU arrest warrants - because we're not a member of the European Union.
So says Home Affairs minister Bill Malarkey who faced questions about the warrants in Tynwald last week.
The questions from North Douglas MHK David Ashford came after it emerged one of Poland's most wanted men was on the Island but police couldn't arrest him, despite convictions for child abuse and rape.
Mr Malarkey said although the EU warrants don't apply here there are ways of dealing with such people:
MHK to query car tax changes in Tynwald
Police issue pre-TT warning over licences and insurance
Minor Injuries Unit reopens next week
DOI considering more restrictions for young drivers
Cav to start legendary Le Mans 24 hour race
