Island based billionaire John Whittaker has come up against significant competition in his bid to takeover Pinewood studios.
Former Harrods owner Mohammed al Fayed has publicly stated that he is considering to make a cash offer for the studios, most commonly associated with the James Bond and Harry Potter series.
Al Fayed’s intentions were made public just a fortnight after Mr Whittaker’s Peel Group launched their takeover bid for the company, valued just shy of £90 million.
